Rockland Manufacturing, Bedford, Pa., has introduced the Klac system, a mechanical quicker coupler designed for mini-excavators from 2,200 to 22,000 pounds. It can reduce the amount of time spent unhitching and hitching attachments because of its simple design with fewer parts that eliminates the need to adjust, service or grease the coupler, according to the company. The Klac system is also adaptable to any mini-excavator bucket. Operators can unlock the coupler by pulling a lever. The Klac system can also lock a new attachment into place automatically, without the need for a safety pin. Other features include double safety levels, using two springs versus one.
