Metso Denmark has launched its full line of M&J Shredders in the North American market. The M&J Shredders are sold and serviced by eFACTOR3 (e3). In a press release, e3 states, the shredders are ideally suited for biomass processing.
The patented open cutting table design has no screens or breaker bars to slow down the processing or let in damaging sand, dirt, or gravel – while the large in-feed hopper allows the processing of even the bulkiest objects without pre-breaking, according to e3.
The design of the M&J cutting table eliminates the need for hydraulic pushers or feed rolls, e3 states, adding that the machines continue to shred even when backing up or processing difficult materials like mattress springs and carpet rolls.
Mobile and stationary options are available, which, according to e3, allow most M&J Shredders to be equipped with wheels or tracks for mobility.
Two hydraulically driven independent shafts are powered separately, which e3 says increases the amount of material that can be processed and allows for tailored shred programs for different materials.
E3 says the shredders are some of the most economical shredders on the market due to their low speed high torque which provides lower wear and significant power savings. And because the independent shafts spin at a low speed, this reduces both the risk of material being thrown back out of the machine as well as environmental noise, e3 adds.
