Stanley Hydraulic Tools, Milwaukie, Ore., has introduced LaBounty MDP20R, a midsize mobile demolition processor that separates concrete from steel reinforced bar in seven-second cycles and weighs between 900 and 1,700 pounds less than competitive models, according to a company press release.
The single cylinder attachment penetrates concrete with a crushing force of 150 tons while apex angled cutting blades slice and separate rebar as pulverized material passes through the upper jaw throat into the lower jaw. The blades cut through I-beams, angle iron, tubing and pipe with the same force and precision as Stanley LaBounty’s mobile shears, says the company.
“LaBounty MDP20R adapts our long experience in mobile shear attachments to concrete pulverizing to produce two recyclable materials in a single step, eliminating the need for secondary processing,” says Martin Schnurr, president of Stanley Hydraulic Tools. “Single cylinder operation maximizes crushing force in a simplified, compact design that reduces investment and operating costs and rewards contractors with higher returns on investments.”
With an operating weight of 4,300 pounds, the MDP20R offers one of the highest power-to-weight ratios in its class, bringing greater safety and stability to 40,000 pound to 55,000 pound excavators. Reverse cylinder technology secures the cylinder rod in the stick body for protection from outside debris.
Material accessibility with the LaBounty MDP20R is fast, easy and precise. It reaches eight and one-half feet, one of the highest in the midsize class, and a standard drive rotates 360 degrees continuously in either direction for accurate cutting and pulverizing at any angle.
Using LaBounty’s patented Swift-Lock process, a complete set of jaw teeth is pinned on in a few minutes, eliminating costly, time-consuming welding to restore original profiles. Each tooth is fastened with a single pin and retainer ring and is rotated for even wear to maximize service life.
A patent pending quick change pivot with an easily removable shaft enables quick switchovers to cracker and pulverizer jaws. Multi-machine mount installation kits consisting of special bushings, spacers and pins are available for quick coupling in the field on comparable equipment.
