RECONNX announces its third-generation Nail Kicker. The V20 denailing tool is now available to the building trades industry.
“The V20 is more powerful than earlier models of the Nail Kicker, so it helps save even more labor on deconstruction jobs,” says John Giltner, inventor of RECONNX.
The Nail Kicker is an efficient way to reclaim used lumber, saving up to four times the deconstruction costs when compared to a workman removing nails with a hammer. The tool “kicks” nails out of, and in some cases through, pallets, shipping crates, flooring, concrete forms, plywood, sheathing, framing lumber and fencing.
“We use the gun to de-nail 2 x 4s. It’s a high value piece of equipment that saves me 80-90 percent on deconstruction labor,” says Daniel Phillips of The Phoenix Commotion in Texas. “Every contractor in the United States needs to have this gun for deconstruction and re-use of our wood resources.”
Resembling a heavy-duty drill, the compressed air-powered V20 is still lightweight at 3.6 pounds. It is offered with a choice of three sizes of driver nose assemblies to remove different sizes of nails.
