Atlas Copco, Commerce City Co., has introduced the SBU 340 to its line of hydraulic breakers. According to a company press release, the SBU 340 is a “highly productive yet compact breaker for carriers in the 9,920-pound to 19,840-pound weight class. Other features include: no side bolts, tie rods or parting line; double-retainer bars for extended wear life; full-length floating tool bushing reduces wear on the bushing and working tool and helps prevent tool breakage; simple tool retainer lock mechanism allows quick changing of components; energy recovery design that captures reflected energy when breaking very hard rock; 48-percent faster impact rate than its predecessor, the SB 300.
