Atlas Copco announces that four models in its line of handheld hydraulic breakers reduce vibrations without sacrificing efficiency or performance. Transferring the technology from its line of handheld pneumatic breakers, the heavy handle is suspended from a dampened pivot pin, decreasing the vibration emissions.
Handheld hydraulic breakers have two moving parts, so there is minimal wear and very few parts to service.
Atlas Copco’s portable power packs, or the hydraulic outlet on any excavator, backhoe, etc., are the power sources for the breakers. In addition, handheld hydraulic breakers operate with a closed-loop system, preventing dirt and moisture from entering the breakers.
Atlas Copco’s new generation of vibro-reduced breakers has been developed for concrete, asphalt and frozen ground applications, as well as for trenching, tie-tamping, spike driving and general demolition jobs.
