Yanmar Compact Equipment North America, based in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, has launched a new 47.6-horsepower V7 compact wheel loader that the company says features premium capabilities and speed.
The V7 compact wheel loader is a 9,370-pound machine with a compact design, intuitive controls and high-travel speeds to maximize performance and efficiency for operators in landscaping, rental, municipalities, snow removal and other applications, according to the company. The loader fills the gap in the Yanmar wheel loader line between the V4-7 and V8, featuring a low operating weight, comfortable cab area and high bucket capacity.
“The V7 is perfect for operators looking for a piece of equipment with leading performance while being easy to transport,” says Frank Gangi, product manager, CWL and attachments, for Yanmar Compact Equipment. “An ergonomic cab, low center of gravity, excellent visibility and high travel speeds all lead to a wheel loader that improves job-site performance while keeping the operator comfortable and productive.”
Yanmar’s V7 features 0.92-cubic-yard bucket capacity, along with an optional light material bucket that brings bucket capacity to more than a full cubic yard with each scoop. A Tier 4 Final Yanmar engine provides a lifting capacity of 7,981 pound-force.
Yanmar says has designed the new model with the operator in mind, featuring improved all-around visibility; doors on both sides of the cab; high-backed, heated seats; ergonomic armrests; and mechanical suspension. An enclosed cab configuration with two steel-frame doors and a standard front sun blind has been designed to reduce glare. The wheel loader features a removable rotating beacon to improve visibility, as well as ergonomic joystick controls to simplify machine operation.
Additional features include:
- 18.6 mph travel speed;
- plus or minus 40 degrees of articulation;
- plus or minus 10 degrees of oscillation;
- center articulation and oscillation joint to optimize tractive force and achieve 98.4-inch height;
- bright LED lights to improve work area visibility and optimize power consumption;
- hydraulic quick couplers to allow fast attachment change-out; and
- parallel kinematics, or P-Kinematics, to lift loads with precision.
The V7 is offered in canopy and enclosed cab with heat and A/C configurations.
