Steelwrist Tiltrotator now a Werk-Brau option

Findlay, Ohio-based attachments producer Werk-Brau is offering products that feature 360-degree Tiltrotator technology designed by Sweden-based Steelwrist.

Werk-Brau, which makes attachments for excavators, mini excavators, backhoes, mini and full-size loaders, crawler loaders and skid steers, says the Tiltrotator technology provides 360 degrees of "endless rotation” with a 45-degree tilt angle.

The flexible motion of the devices allows operators to perform numerous tasks without repositioning their excavator, according to the firm.

The attachment enhancement, branded as Werk-Brau Powered by Steelwrist Tiltrotators, features Steelwrist's SQ sandwich-style coupler and auto lubrication for precise control and flexibility, which significantly enhances productivity, Werk-Brau says.

SQ automatic quick coupler technology is designed to allow operators to change between hydraulic-powered work tools as well as mechanical work tools quickly and easily, without the need for them to leave the cab. They are compatible with Open-S, an industry standard for fully automatic quick couplers for excavators, and work with all other couplers and work tools.

Models with the Steelwrist technology are available to fit excavators from 2 to 33 tons, each with a low building height, high tilt angle and low weight for optimized digging geometry and fuel efficiency, according to Werk-Brau.

Other features of the Werk-Brau Tiltrotator line include steel cast components designed to provide an optimal weight-to-strength relationship, availability of front pin hook or front pin lock designs and selective use of materials “with no weak weld seams” that are designed to make the devices compact and robust.

Werk-Brau says the flexibility of the Tiltrotator “significantly improves the excavator’s efficiency and enhances fuel efficiency.”

The attachments also can allow a contractor to bring fewer heavy machines to a job site.

“Fewer excavator moves mean less damage to the ground at the worksite, making these Tiltrotators ideal for construction sites, utility work, civil/road construction, cable laying, landscaping and more,” Werk-Brau says.

Tightly configured demolition and metal recycling sites also benefit from a smaller equipment footprint.

The Tiltrotator models comply with applicable safety regulations including EN 474, ISO 13031 and Europe-based organization SUVA.

Werk-Brau Powered by Steelwrist Tiltrotators can be combined with several types of attachments, including specialty buckets, rippers, grapples, pallet and forks, brush clearing tools, grapples, sweepers, pallet forks and compactors.
