Findlay, Ohio-based Werk-Brau has introduced a wide-mouth box-style grapple attachment specifically designed to handle objects of differing sizes, such as demolition debris, brush and rocks.
Standard sizes of the Box Grapple are engineered for excavators weighing between 12 and 60 tons, with additional tine and width configurations available to maximize efficiency and productivity on job-specific applications, Werk-Brau says.
According to the company, the grapple is made from T1 steel, has gone through multiple pass welds and contains ribbed internal gusseting to strengthen the main body. The grapple also contains hardened greaseable bushings at all pivot points and edge pads at the end of each tine to ensure a long service life regardless of conditions. All pivot points are line bored after welding to reinforce alignment and grapple tracking. Attachments are weld inspected, and the final quality inspection is completed after paint and assembly, Werk-Brau says.
The Box Grapple is designed to the curl and dump angle consistent with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications for the machine. With some of the latest computer-aided designs and finite element analysis tools, Werk-Brau says it can customize any of its attachments, including the Box Grapple, to benefit a wider or narrower pick up stance.
Werk-Brau manufactures a complete line of OEM and replacement attachments for excavators, mini excavators, backhoes, mini and full-size loaders and crawler loaders.
