A concrete recycling facility, is Skyway, Washington, is reportedly being permanently shut down. According to court documents from the Superior Court of Washington for King County, the property, formerly or currently knows as Building Busters, Concrete Contractors Recycling and Sunset Machinery, was initially ordered to shut down by June 15, 2015, and directed the King County Department of Permitting and Environmental Review to explore options for assisting with the shutdown, including a method to address remaining unprocessed concrete at the site. The defendents in the case are listed as Joseph and Mary Ann Anderson, et. al.
According to local reports, the rubble pile had been dubbed "Mount Anderson" by the locals. Neighbors had also complained the dust from the site has been tough to deal with. Reports also indicate the property has issued 21 notices of violation between 1993-2013. King County says despite threats, fines, and a bankruptcy, the recycling yard had remained open.
