Denver-based Viably LLC, formerly known as Komptech Americas, has announced a new partnership with Ireland-based Turmec.

The two providers of waste processing and recycling equipment, technology and integration services say their joint goal is to provide "cutting-edge, sustainable solutions" for the waste management sector in the United States and Canada, with a focus on construction and demolition (C&D) recycling.

Through the collaboration, Viably customers will gain access to Turmec’s engineering services, including recycling system design, engineering, integration and support, and the company says the enhanced capabilities will equip businesses to efficiently process tough materials and meet the growing demand for sustainable solutions.

“Our partnership with Turmec highlights our commitment to empowering clients with a wider range of waste processing solutions, including advanced stationary plant systems, while delivering innovative and tailored service,” Viably President Brandon Lapsys says.

“Turmec has over 25 years of experience in designing and building best-in-class recycling systems in the waste industry," Turmec CEO Geoff Bailey adds. "By partnering with Viably, we can bring this expertise to even more customers across North America, adapting our solutions to meet their needs.”

The construction industry as producing millions of tons of discarded material annually, some of which is difficult to process and streamline.

Viably says its partnership with Turmec addresses this challenge head-on, leveraging its portfolio of stationary recycling equipment, such as the Komptech Terminator high-torque shredder and the Komptech Ballistor ballistic waste separator, alongside Turmec’s "state-of-the-art system integrations.”

Via the combination, Viably says customers can optimize the recovery of high-quality materials from C&D discards, increasing process efficiency while minimizing landfill disposal costs and dependency.

Turmec specializes in engineering and constructing compact materials processing plants that maximize the use of available space without compromising operational efficiency.

The Irish firm develops tailored solutions that optimize plant layouts for diverse customer needs, Viably says, and also can deliver what the two firms call “future-proof” system designs, planned to accommodate future expansions or evolving discarded material stream challenges.

Viably is a Titanium Sponsor of the 2025 C&D World Conference & Exhibition, taking place March 11-14 in Dallas. The company will exhibit at Booth No. 20 at the event, which it calls the premier gathering for C&D recycling professionals.

Staff members from both Viably and Turmec will be present at the event, providing an opportunity for visitors to engage directly with experienced machinery and systems professionals from both organizations.

Also at the conference, Viably will sponsor the Construction & Demolition Recycling Association Issues and Education Fundraiser, that trade group’s primary fundraising initiative to support its research, advocacy and related efforts tied to C&D recycling.

Going forward, Viably says Turmec will work closely with its clients “to provide full-service guidance throughout the entire lifespan of the systems integration process, from initial design to installation to postinstallation.”
