UES, an Orland, Florida-based national engineering and consulting company, has acquired Grubbs, Hoskyn, Barton & Wyatt, a geotechnical engineering and materials testing firm headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas.

“We’re proud and excited to expand our geotechnical expertise with the Grubbs, Hoskyn, Barton & Wyatt team,” UES CEO Dave Witsken says. “Their reputation as geotechnical problem solvers is well regarded, and, with their addition, we look forward to growing our services in the southern portion of the Midwest region.”

With its experienced personnel and fleet of exploration equipment, Grubbs, Hoskyn, Barton & Wyatt has provided services on projects involving numerous roadways, bridges, airports, low and high-rise structures, earthen dams and levees, landfills and hazardous waste facilities.

Grubbs, Hoskyn, Barton & Wyatt joins the Midwest Region of UES, which is led by UES Midwest Region President Ed Alizadeh. Grubbs, Hoskyn, Barton & Wyatt’s leadership team will continue to operate the day-to-day business.

“The opportunity to join the UES team accommodates the long-term goals for our firm to provide quality geotechnical testing and materials testing services throughout Arkansas and gives us the opportunity for expansion,” Grubbs, Hoskyn, Barton & Wyatt President Mark Wyatt says. “We have previously teamed with the Geotechnology group on numerous projects, benefiting both firms. Becoming a part of the Midwest Region of UES will bring additional personnel and equipment and a broad increase in capabilities to our firm.”
