European sorting equipment vendor Tomra Recycling has hired Alexandre Clairembault as its segment area manager for wood sorting and recycling technology.
Clairembault is a 20-year specialist in the wood sector. He has been assigned to the development of Tomra’s market in the wood sorting and recycling sector in Europe, working in collaboration with regional sales teams.
“We’re delighted to welcome Alexandre to our wood segment,” says Jose Matas, director of the wood segment at Tomra Recycling, “Alexandre’s extensive experience makes him perfectly positioned to drive our European expansion, capitalizing on the growing demand for circular wood waste solutions and strengthening our local teams.”
Clairembault will be based at Tomra’s French office in Salon-de-Provence. He joins a wood-focused team that includes Matas, scrap wood application specialists and account managers.

Before joining Tomra, Clairembault worked for several French companies in roles that “provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the wood industry, spanning from raw materials to finished products,” according to Tomra.
The company intends to drive the development of waste wood recycling through its sorting technology and process improvement consulting with devices such as the X-Tract and AutoSort.
The Germany-based Tomra Recycling business unit of Norway-based Tomra ASA designs and makes sensor-based sorting technology for the global recycling industry. The company has United States offices in California, Colorado and North Carolina.
