Arkansas-based Pollution Management Inc. (PMI), an engineering and environmental firm with operations that include construction and demolition-related remediation and demolition services, has been acquired by Olathe, Kansas-based Terracon, an employee-owned engineering consulting services provider.
PMI, was founded in 1988 and has operations in Little Rock and Fayetteville, Arkansas. Its range of engineering, environmental and field services are carried out by a team of engineers, geologists, environmental scientists and construction/remediation specialists who work in Arkansas and nearby states.
“PMI enhances and strengthens our engineering and consulting practice in Arkansas and brings in-house construction capabilities that support our design services,” says Gayle Packer, Terracon board chair, president and CEO. “We are pleased to welcome them to Terracon as we grow and continually evolve how we help solve our clients’ challenges.”
PMI and its more than 35 employees will operate as Pollution Management Inc., a Terracon company, in a transition Terracon says “will be seamless for clients.”
Terracon has existing operations in Little Rock and Rogers, Arkansas; Springfield and Joplin, Missouri; and Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma, that can cooperate with PMI’s efforts.
“By joining Terracon, our clients will continue to benefit from the expertise and creative solutions we have provided for over 34 years while also enjoying expanded access to Terracon’s national resources and multidiscipline services,” PMI President Richard Davis says.
The PMI acquisition marks the second this year and 19th since 2017 for Terracon, which lists asbestos and lead remediation services and brownfields and site redevelopment as among its services.
The PMI transaction was brokered by Generational Equity, based in Dallas. “This strategic union combines the expertise and resources of two great companies,” says Julio Dominguez, a managing director at Generational Equity.
