Environmental equipment specialist Terex Ecotec, which has its U.S. headquarters in Newton, New Hampshire, has enhanced its trommel screen line with the launch of the new Phoenix 2100T.

The Phoenix 2100T trommel, a tracked variant of the Phoenix 2100, has been designed to maximize throughput, application flexibility and serviceability. Equipped with a Caterpillar Stage V/Tier 4 Final engine and intelligent screening technology, the Phoenix 2100T delivers screening efficiency. The new trommel screens a variety of materials including compost, biomass, soil, green waste, construction and demotion waste and aggregates.

“The Phoenix 2100T is the latest trommel to be launched by Terex Ecotec and will complement our strong range of trommels already in the market,” Terex Ecotex Sales Director Pawel Kononczuk says. “Whilst maintaining the key features of the existing Phoenix trommel range, it has been purposefully engineered to provide improved service and maintenance access. Maneuvered via heavy-duty crawler tracks, the Phoenix 2100T offers increased site mobility and is a great solution for difficult terrain.”

Operators can prepare the Phoenix 2100T to operate in minutes with no tooling. The user-friendly control system, featuring a push button start, offers simple operation and diagnostics and allows the operator to configure the machine to suit the required application. The fully proportional, hydrostatic feeder combined with an intelligent control system continually monitors the machine, adjusting the feeder speed to optimize screening performance and throughput, Terex Ecotec says.

The Phoenix 2100T is fitted with a 6.36-foot by 21.16-foot screening drum with heavy-duty mesh or punch plate options, ensuring that all application requirements are met. Equipped with a hydrostatic four-wheel drive system, the company says the Phoenix 2100T offers strong start-up torque and screening efficiency. The machine features an independent track subframe, and the drum screening angle can be adjusted from zero to 7 degrees while in operation. Maintenance and inspections can conducted easily because of the side access to the drum.

Powered by a 102-kilowatt (137 horsepower) CAT C4.4 Stage V/Tier 4 Final engine, Terex Ecotec says the Phoenix 2100T offers the perfect blend of power and efficiency. Because the machine runs at a relatively low speed, engine noise and emission levels are minimized. The swing-out power unit provides convenient service access, enabling operators to conduct daily checks and maintenance from ground level.

The 180-degree radial fines conveyor with a variable discharge height of just over 17 feet can be remote controlled while in operation, maximizing stockpile capacity. Both the radial fines and oversize conveyors lower to ground level for maintenance.

The Phoenix 2100T is available through Terex Ecotec’s dealer network, members of which also can perform service.
