Terex Minerals Processing adds screen plant

Crushing and screening equipment provider extends its CR Series portable plant line with the addition of a LJ-TSV screen.

Terex Minerals Processing Systems (Terex MPS), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has expanded its CR Series portable plant line with the addition of Terex’s Cedarapids CRS620S screen plant.

The company says the plant features a next generation, patent pending LJ-TSV screen. The screen can help increase production and handle applications not possible with traditional horizontal screens by combining the El-Jay high g-force oval stroke motion with adjustable slope operation, Terex MPS explains.

Ed Sauser, product manager at Terex MPS, says, “The addition of this new plant to our CR series portable plant line gives our customers a product that will handle more applications than other screen plants on the market. The increased capabilities, higher production, enhanced durability and maintenance-friendly features make it an industry leader in productivity.”

The screen plant is capable of handling larger deck loads and larger screen openings than its previous model. Terex MPS says the plant’s hydraulics can be quickly changed, and screen openings of up to six inches are possible. Other features of the screen plant include:
  • A “slant spring” screen suspension provides stability at all slopes;
  • large capacity conveyors capable of handling high production capabilities of the LJ-TSV screen;
  • a 48-inch-wide fines conveyor with an elevated discharge and two 30-inch-wide reversible cross conveyors that extend up to 42 inches beyond the main frame feed off-plant conveyors;
  • roll-away blending chutes and extended walkways that allow easy access to screen cloth;
  • a low-maintenance flex shaft screen drive that eliminates drive belt influence on the screen motion, belt whip, belt slippage and spring-loaded belt tensioners; and
  • new flex shaft drive folds for travel, without shaft disassembly, to minimize plant transport width.
