Takeuchi adds dealer in Mississippi

Takeuchi-US, an Atlanta-based business unit of Japan-based compact equipment maker Takeuchi, says it has expanded its dealer network with the addition of Ramey Motors in Purvis, Mississippi. Purvis is approximately 15 miles from Hattiesburg in the southern part of the state.

“Since expanding from the automotive industry into the ag equipment industry back in 2018, we’ve grown exponentially,” says Ford Ramey, co-owner of Ramey Motors. “There’s so much crossover between ag and compact construction equipment that it just makes good sense for us to take on that industry as well. Carrying the Takeuchi line will help us better serve both ag and construction professionals with top-quality equipment that helps them get their jobs done better, faster and more efficiently.”

According to Takeuchi-US, Ford Ramey and his brother Taylor come from an entrepreneurial family, with their grandfather and father having started and grown a grocery business that now has 22 locations. The duo started their own business, a car dealership, in 2015.
