Superior Industries Inc. has cut the ribbon on a new crusher manufacturing facility in its headquarters city of Morris, Minnesota, an investment the company says demonstrates its “commitment to growth and innovation in the crushing market.”
The new facility will be dedicated to producing jaw and cone crushers and will increase Superior’s Minnesota crusher production capacity by 50 percent, according to the firm.
“This new facility means more opportunities for everyone connected to Superior—from our dealers and producers to our team members and local communities,” Superior Industries President Jason Adams says. “With more capacity and smoother operations, we’re able to stay true to our purpose of serving others by providing products that help our partners succeed.”
The new facility features an integrated hydraulics assembly area, an inline test zone and expanded parts warehousing.
While jaw and cone crushers will be built in the new facility in Morris, Superior's impact crushers, including vertical shaft and horizontal shaft models, will continue to be produced at the firm’s other crusher manufacturing plant in Belen, New Mexico.
Superior Industries also has crusher manufacturing plants in South America and Asia, helping it serve the global aggregates and mining sectors.
