The Tenamec Inc. group of companies has realigned its business operations by creating the SAS Group, which incorporates Tenamec brands SAS Forks, SAS Rail and DRKhorse Tools.
SAS Group will be led by its President Bruce Bacon, a recycling and demolition equipment industry veteran who has founded or co-founded several equipment brands. He joined SAS Forks in August of last year.
Bacon is not the only SAS Group executive who might be recognizable to recyclers and demolition contractors.
Tenamec, which has offices and facilities throughout the Midwest, also has added several "prominent industry veterans" to its leadership team, including: Uwe Kausch, vice president of Tenamec market development and marketing; Sal LaCorte, vice president of sales and business development; and Scot Stein, director of SAS Rail and special projects.
In addition to Stein, other members of the Tenamec sales force include: Wes Jones, U.S. Midwest; Andy Waszil, northeastern U.S., Quebec and eastern Canada; Wendell Moss, southeastern U.S.; Matt Wroblewski, southern U.S.; Rob Henning, western U.S.; and Mark Kirsten, national accounts for SAS Forks.
Other equipment providers in the Tenamec group are Builtrite Manufacturing and Lemco Hydraulics.
Tenamec also says it is seeking "high-quality distributors" to sell and service these product lines throughout North America under an exclusive agreement.
Wisconsin-based SAS Forks offers equipment for the auto dismantling industry and other applications while Minnesota-based Builtrite designs and sells electric pedestal truck and rail-mounted material handlers used in the waste, recycling and C&D materials sectors.
Lemco produces truck- and trailer-mounted loaders and attachments for the forestry, waste management and construction sectors. The new DRKhorse brand offers select attachments and work tools from Europe and South Korea to the North American market.
