Rotochopper welcomed customers and prospects to a regional Field Day event in Sacramento, California, where more than 30 attendees witnessed six different Rotochopper machines in action. The event was organized by the company's West Coast sales team and hosted by Lopez Ag Services, a Rotochopper customer.

The day kicked off with introductions and an overview from Matt Vogel, Rotochopper’s West Coast regional sales representative. Following his opening remarks, the event moved into the first demo for the day: the B-66LII, which demonstrated its capabilities by grinding green waste.

The morning continued with a series of demonstrations, including the B-66 horizontal grinder processing dimensional lumber and the MC-266 horizontal grinder to produce colored mulch. In addition, the 365R Radial Stacking Conveyor highlighted the advantages of its stacking and radial features. During the final demo of the morning, the TS 124 Deck Screener screened compost.

During lunch, attendees had the opportunity to learn about RotoLink, Rotochopper’s remote monitoring system. Adam Asmus, Rotochopper customer service manager, logged into a machine operating in the field and demonstrated the data and analysis available through RotoLink. Following this, Matt Cox and Blake Gibson from Colorbiotics led a Q&A session on colorant and coloring capabilities.

The afternoon started with a demonstration of Rotochopper’s Go-Bagger 250 bagging compost. Attendees also observed the company's exclusive screen change system on the B-66LII and watched the MC-266 horizontal grinder process dimensional lumber. The ground material was then fed into the 365R Radial Stacking Conveyor, which transported it into the TS 124 Deck Screener, separating the ground lumber into three separate-sized products.

“The 2024 West Coast Field Day was an excellent event," Vogel says. "We’re grateful to Lopez Ag Services for hosting our event at their site in Sacramento. It was over 100 degrees by midday, but we had excellent attendees who braved the heat to see our equipment, network and get to know Rotochopper staff members.

“We ran three grinders, a stacking conveyor, a deck screener, and our Go-Bagger 250. We produced colored mulch in our MC-266 grinder, which made a great product. Our marketing team did an excellent job organizing the event, and our on-site staff members were knowledgeable about running the equipment, discussing features of the machines, and keeping the flow of the day going.”
