Priestly Demolition Inc. (PDI), a demolition contractor based in King, Ontario, with U.S. offices in Chantilly, Virginia, has announced that it has completed the majority acquisition of Cincinnati-based Green City Demolition Inc.
According to a news release from PDI, this acquisition will expand PDI’s presence from Virginia to Kentucky and Ohio.
PDI says Green City Demolition has been in the demolition business for “many years,” and that the company has grown at a steady pace. Green City offers a variety of services, including selective interior and structural demolition, abatement and hauling services.
“Joining forces with Ryan and the PDI team will give us the edge we need to compete in this aggressive marketplace,” says Dan Thompson, president of Green City Demolition Inc. “Now, we can bid on projects that previously were out of reach. Knowing that we have access to engineers, industry experts, bigger equipment and additional resources is an exciting step forward for [Green City].”
PDI says the merged companies creates a partnership that will enable both companies to expand their service offerings. It also enables the companies to collaborate on bigger, more diverse demolition projects.
“With an abundance of aging infrastructure, and big projects up for bid, we are confident that we can grow the business in a way that everyone will be proud of,” says Ryan Priestly, president of Priestly Demolition. “We look forward to working with Dan and his team. They are well-established, experienced and all-around good people—the kind of people you want to do business with.”
