The National Demolition Association (NDA) recently announced its Demolition Rockies convention and expo was named as one of the Trade Show News Network’s (TSNN’s) 2019 TSNN Top 250 Trade Shows in the United States. Compiled from show management and data supplied to TSNN, the list represents the top 250 trade shows held in 2019 ranked by net square footage. Demolition Rockies was named 222nd on the list TSNN list.
The NDA Convention & Expo has been on an upward trajectory for several years, according to the association. In three years, NDA says it has grown the number of exhibiting companies by 56 percent, increasing exhibitors from 57 to 89, and the expo square footage by 82 percent, from 15,600 to 28,500 square feet.
NDA introduced its Live Demolition event at the 2018 convention in Austin, Texas. The event offers NDA vendors an additional opportunity to connect and showcase equipment in real-time. The Live Demolition event has grown from 15 exhibitors with 18 pieces of equipment in its initial year to 20 exhibitors with 30 pieces of equipment in 2020. According to NDA, the Live Demolition is now a staple for NDA members and attendees and is a leading factor in the growth of its show.
"We see the growth in our expo as a major accomplishment for the Demolition Convention & Expo," NDA President Chris Godek says. "We continue to position NDA as the association where demolition professionals build relationships. This is visible every day on our expo floor. We appreciate the recognition from the Trade Show News Network and look forward to celebrating many more accomplishments."
TSNN's appointment of the NDA show among its 2019 TSNN Top 250 Trade Shows list marked the second time the NDA expo has gotten recognition recently: Trade Show Executive recently named Demolition Rockies as one of 50 fastest-growing trade shows in 2019.
"The industry recognition that NDA has received is a result of hard work from the contributing volunteers and NDA staff team. Our growth in this space proves that NDA is committed to staying cutting-edge and competitive in our industry. The expo will continue to grow and evolve with the needs of vendors and attendees alike to bring innovation to the demolition industry," Godek says.
NDA is currently planning for Demolition New Orleans to take place in New Orleans on March 4-7, 2021.
