The National Demolition Association (NDA), Washington, is offering members an opportunity to take its Certified Demolition Supervisor (CDS) certification exam in person at the Demolition New Orleans convention March 5-8.
NDA says its CDS certification helps member companies demonstrate their commitment to safety and professionalism to employees and customers.
NDA offers several ways demolition firms can benefit from certification and the CDS process, citing upgraded employee skills and a strengthened company reputation.
According to NDA, research shows companies can become 21 percent more profitable when they focus on safety, experiencing a 22 percent reduction in workplace accidents when they engage with a certified management system.
“I'm thankful for my organization’s commitment to fostering a safe and professional environment through investing in the CDS,” says Matthew Byers, project manager with North Carolina-based DH Griffin Wrecking Co. “Becoming a CDS makes you an asset to our industry.”
The trade group has posted an online form and accompanying instructions for companies and individuals interested in the exam. The form should be completed by Feb. 14, 2025.
