Denmark-based M&J Recycling says its new P250e series of shredders offers preshredding versatility with an electrical power setup designed to deliver efficiency and minimal energy consumption.
The company's electrical-drive (e-drive) shredder lineup caters to heavy-duty and lighter scenarios, emphasizing "efficiency, capacity and minimized energy consumption based on specific operational needs.”
The P250e series consists of four customizable models accommodating up to five-knife counts per shaft with different knife geometries.
“The powerful new M&J P250e series isn’t just about shredding; it’s a game-changer,” says Jens Vestergaard Nielsen, head of research and development at M&J Recycling. “It proves that you can get the same power for less money. Furthermore, the series makes it easier than ever to assemble a machine that provides the customer with precisely the solution they need, even as requirements evolve.”
M&J says the P250e’s four drivetrain configurations can accommodate different types of material at different capacities. The product line’s range covers shredding up to 100 metric tons per hour and creating a material size as little as 90 percent below 100 millimeters (3.9 inches).
The 220hs variant is ideal for light- to medium-duty applications, with the 220hd suitable for medium-duty applications and the 320hd variant applicable to medium- to heavy-duty applications and small grain size.
M&J says the P250e 320hs is the best choice for heavy-duty applications and small grain size.
The company has calculated the P250e as having a “superior total cost of ownership, with robust build quality and a patented modular design, facilitating hassle-free wear part replacement.”
M&J Recycling says the product line’s maintenance procedures are simplified, in part by offering enhanced accessibility for welding and targeted parts replacement.
The P250e consumes up to 50 percent less energy compared with some hydraulic while offering “the same or even higher capacity,” the company says.
The Danish company lists common applications for its shredders as: the creation of refuse-derived fuel from municipal solid waste and other waste streams; plastic size reduction; paper and cardboard shredding; and construction and demolition materials shredding.
