Liebherr Construction Equipment Co., a construction equipment manufacturing firm headquartered in Newport News, Va., has announced that Michael Balella has joined the company as manager – parts marketing, a newly created position. In his role, Balella will work with the company’s dealer organization to enhance opportunities to increase sales and improve customer service for after-market repair parts.
Duane Wilder, president of Liebherr Construction, says, “We conducted a national search to find someone that met our requirement for experience from both the manufacturer and customer perspective. Mike’s background in market development and parts sales with a competitor who is an international manufacturer, coupled with his earlier rental and small contractor experience, will prepare him for this new role.”
Liebherr Construction Equipment is a part of the Liebherr group of companies, headquartered in Switzerland. Since its formation in 1949 Liebherr has grown into a collection of more than 120 companies worldwide.
