The Thermal Dynamics brand of North Bethesda, Maryland-based ESAB now is offering the Cutmaster 50+ and Cutmaster 70+ manual plasma cutting systems.

The Cutmaster 70+ has a recommended pierce and cut capacity of 3/4 of an inch and severs metal up to 1-½ in. It has a rated cutting output of 70 amps at 60 percent duty cycle and weighs 35.3 pounds, according to ESAB.
Straight-line cutting and gouging applications can be controlled with a start/stop switch and the torches come with a 15-foot cable.
According to ESAB, devices in the Cutmaster+ series provide portability, protection and convenient cable organization, and their housings have been designed to handle rugged environments, making them suitable for numerous applications.
“These machines offer a built-in 14-pin circuit protective conductor (CPC) port for easy computer numerical control (CNC) mechanization,” says Jay Misas, a senior product manager with ESAB. “Smaller fabricators have told us that they want the flexibility to switch between manual and mechanized cutting to maximize utilization of their machines.”
