Doppstadt Umwelttechnik GmbH says its new SM 620.3 trommel screen combines the "proven performance" of previous models with innovative features such as the DualPower drive, which makes operation even more flexible and convenient.
The German processing and sorting equipment company, with North American sales partner Ecoverse Industries in Avon, Ohio, says its latest generation trommel offers screening with maximum efficiency and has been developed based on customer feedback and requirements.
“With the latest generation of our trommel, users no longer have to choose between a diesel or electric drive,” says Moritz Müller, product manager at Doppstadt.
The company says the DualPower drive combines both and that depending on the application, an “uncomplicated” change is possible.
If there is no electrical power connection available, diesel operation is an option. In this case, the addition of AdBlue is no longer necessary. In residential areas and indoor settings, the electric drive may be desirable because of its low noise level and reduced emissions, the firm says.
The company describes the SM 620.3 as setting “new standards in the area of material processing,” thanks in part to a galvanized discharge belt designed to offer high resistance and protection against corrosion.
“This proves particularly effective in demanding applications such as the processing of mineral materials,” Doppstadt says.
“Whether it's about efficiency, cost-effectiveness or flexibility in use, the SM 620.3 delivers well thought-out solutions that make every day work noticeably easier,” Müller adds.
Other features include a redesigned machine frame and a new arrangement of the motor and hopper. Both changes have been designed to improve ease of maintenance, created by the presence of large hinged doors and practical cleaning openings.
Wear protection components made of heavy rubber are included to ensure increased safety and durability, according to Doppstadt.
A newly designed stone grid that opens at greater than 90 degrees quickly removes sticky material and allows convenient loading, the equipment maker adds. Like its predecessor models, the new trommel screen also is equipped with a load-sensing hydraulic control system designed to optimize energy consumption and reduce operating costs.
“The new model offers the same performance with even greater efficiency,” Müller says, adding that his company offers a trommel screen that combines proven technology with innovative product features.
