Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based Diamond Mowers says several of its excavator attachments have been designed with land clearing contractors and other mulch producers in mind.
On the mulch production front, the company’s Drum Mulcher Pro X “effectively cuts back and processes unwanted over or undergrowth, making it ideal for land clearing, vegetation management and utility and roadside maintenance."
The Pro X is offered in 30-inch and 50-inch cutting widths to fit excavator carriers from 4.5 metric tons to 10 metric tons. The company says the optimized infeed system of the Pro X allows for optimum tree engagement, feeds materials from left to right as it sweeps the ground for greater productivity per pass and produces an aesthetically desirable chip size.
Another Diamond Mowers mulch-creation product, the Disc Mulcher Pro X, is ideal for use in hard-to-reach areas that require vegetation management, the company says.
The 36-inch Excavator Disc Mulcher Pro X has been designed to cut grass, brush and small trees up to 6 inches in diameter and mulches the same materials up to 4 inches in diameter, Diamond Mowers says. The Disc Mulcher Pro X also is equipped with a thumb receiver that functions like a grapple and can be used on its own to manipulate and manage downed brush.
The Diamond Mowers Brush Cutter Pro X is a heavy-duty, hydraulically driven 40 inch excavator-mounted brush cutter that slices trees and brush up to 4 inches in diameter and is equipped with a spring-loaded retractable shield to deflect debris.
According to the company, the Brush Cutter model is “most productive on tall grass, small trees, fence lines and large-scale brush clearing applications thanks to the tri-hex mulching disc that provides powerful inertia in tough conditions.”
