ConExpo, ICUEE Ranked Among Top U.S. Trade Shows

Shows ranked by Tradeshow Week magazine.

The ConExpo-Con/Agg international exposition for the construction industries has been named the largest trade show of any industry in the United States for the third consecutive time. The last three editions of the exhibition, which is held every three years, have earned the top spot for the years in which it was held—1999, 2002 and now 2005.

In addition, the International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE) has been named the third largest trade show for the 2005 edition of the exhibition.

The rankings are included in the Top 200 compilation of Tradeshow Week magazine, which tracks a variety of statistics on industry shows in the U.S. and Canada.

ConExpo set records for exhibit space and attendance in 2005 with more than 1.88 million net square feet of exhibit space and more than 124,300 attendees. ICUEE 2005 featured more than 1.113 million net square feet of exhibits, more than 800 exhibitors and more than 16,400 attendees, according to a press release from the shows’ organizers.

The next ConExpo-Con/Agg will be held March 11-15, 2008, again in the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The next ICUEE show will be held Oct. 16-18, 2007, at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky. Also known as the Demo Expo, the show features hands-on equipment demonstrations simulating real-life job conditions.
