Coastal Waste & Recycling, a privately owned, Boca Raton, Florida-based waste management company, has merged with Southwest Waste, a Fort Myers, Florida-based waste management company.
Established in 2021 by Charles Lomangino, Southwest Waste has become a leading independent waste-hauling and recycling company. Southwest Waste provides collection, processing, recycling, transfer transportation and disposal services for construction and demolition (C&D) volumes on the southwest coast of Florida and has an experienced management team that has been in the waste services industry for more than 20 years.
“Our entire team is excited to be joining Coastal," Lomangino says. "Our values, culture and entrepreneurial spirit are fully aligned."
Coastal Waste says the strategic merger reflects its commitment to enhancing its portfolio with outstanding businesses that share its core values of safety, integrity and unparalleled customer service.
“The merger of Coastal and Southwest represents a collaboration of two exceptional entities, with a shared commitment to the development and growth of both their business and their people,” Coastal Waste & Recycling founder and CEO Brendon Pantano says.
Coastal operates more than 40 locations in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina, providing residential, commercial, industrial and municipal services.
“Coastal Waste & Recycling looks forward to harnessing the strength of this strategic merger to further elevate its position in the waste industry," the company says in a news release. "With a mutual focus on delivering exceptional service, the combined forces of Coastal and Southwest will undoubtedly result in an enhanced experience for all their customers."
