CDE Group, a supplier of sand and aggregate washing solutions for the waste recycling and natural processing sectors, has revealed plans to commission multiple new waste recycling plants across the Americas following a successful ConExpo-Con/Agg.
At this year’s show, which saw over 139,000 industry professionals in attendance, CDE showcased its latest generations of the AggMax scrubbing and attrition system, Counter Flow Classification Unit for density separation, ShearClean attrition cells and the EvoWash sand classification and dewatering plant, and the latest addition to its range of Infinity high-frequency dewatering screens.
Set to be commissioned within the next year, the deals include new wash plants for customers based in the U.S., Canada and Latin America, with over 50 percent representing waste recycling operations and underscoring CDE’s commitment to accelerate the adoption of sustainable technologies in the industry, the company says.
Among CDE’s new customers is Our Recycling Corp. based in Yaphank, New York. Operating for over 30 years, Our Recycling Corp. began crushing concrete in the early to mid-1990s to reduce the costs of bringing crushed natural stone from Connecticut to New York.
With commitment and dedication to recycling and sustainability in the local area, the company has become a well-established contractor in New York City and Long Island, having recently partnered with CDE in a bid to further improve the circular economy on the island.
Having initially met at Bauma in 2016, the two firms worked together to build a solution to help Our Recycling Corp. create a washing solution to allow them to recycle crushed concrete and natural soil to divert more material from landfill.
“It’s been great partnering with Our Recycling Corp., and I believe we’ve built a relationship to last, and this was evident when Todd shared his CDE story with guests at ConExpo,” CDE Director Darren Eastwood says. “The resulting solution represents our commitment to pursue a circular economy, facilitating the diversion of vast tonnages of material from landfill, transforming them into high-grade recycled sand and aggregates for the construction industry while simultaneously restoring land for future use and driving down carbon emissions.”
The 250 ton-per-hour solution designed and engineered by CDE comprises an M2500 modular washing plant, Infinity screen P2-75, AquaCycle A400 thickener and a water management system, which creates market-ready sand and aggregates.
According to CDE, the solution allows Our Recycling Corp. to create two aggregates: 3/8-inch to 1-inch oversize and 3/8-inch to No. 4 undersize and No. 4 minus sand, created from waste materials ready for market requirements.
Final products serve the construction industry in New York, helping to preserve the natural resources on Long Island and providing a more sustainable future for the local community.
