Bunting has announced staffing changes.
Mark Friesen has joined the Newton, Kansas-based company as its incoming global marketing director. He will fill the position held by Michael Wilks, who will be retiring in March 2024. Tony Rampino has joined Bunting as director of sales for the Americas.
Friesen and Wilks will share the marketing position as Friesen gets up to speed on Bunting’s array of products and markets, which includes plastics, powder and bulk solids, food, chemical, pharmaceutical, textile, recycling, material handling, mining, electric motor manufacturing, medical equipment, aviation, aerospace and consumer goods industries.
Friesen has a background in manufactured products marketing to the powder and bulk solids, plastics, and lawn and turf equipment industries. He will be based at the company’s Newton headquarters and manufacturing facility.
Wilks is retiring after a 23-year career with Bunting that has included positions as the global marketing director, sales director, general manager and product manager of printing products.
Rampino, a 20-plus-year veteran of equipment sales in the food, pharma, plastics, chemical, recycling and automation industries, spent his last 13 years in leadership roles overseeing sales and marketing departments; working with all levels of an organization; partnering with finance, manufacturing and service to ensure strong teamwork and customer relations.
He previously worked for Bunting from 2002 through 2008 as a territory manager of Illinois and Wisconsin. In his new role, Rampino will work with Bunting’s extensive network of territory managers, inside sales and customer service personnel to offer customer-focused solutions where magnetic separation, metal detection, metal sorting and recycling and custom conveying can solve customer problems.
“Knowing what works and what doesn’t work is key to solving most challenging applications in today’s processing and recycling industries,” he says. “That’s where the experience of Bunting comes into play. Bunting has been solving customer challenges through the use of magnetic technology and related equipment since 1959.”
Rampino is based in the Chicago area. He can be reached at trampino@buntingmagnetics.com, while Friesen can be reached at mfriesen@buntingmagnetics.com.
