Bunting, a manufacturer focused on magnetic separation, metal detection and conveying equipment based in Newton, Kansas, has announced several management appointments. The company recently contracted Chris Heming to serve as its master representative for western Canada.
Heming is the co-owner of Winnipeg, Manitoba-based Canadian Copacking Group Inc. (CPG)/CPG Automation, as well as the co-founder of Farsight AI. CPG offers extensive consulting services and CPG Automation provides integration and technology deployment to industries across Canada.
To continue Bunting’s strategic plan of export growth, Heming will be representing all standard Bunting products within the western provinces of Canada. Products include material handling equipment, magnetic separation products and metal detection equipment.

“I am very pleased to be an official partner with Bunting for western Canada,” Heming says. “We have used Bunting for client solutions in metal separation, product inspection and material handling for almost 10 years and have always been extremely satisfied with both the product, the service and the company. It is a natural progression to formalize this relationship.”
“Chris has been a manufacturer’s representative for Bunting for a number of years, and we are glad he made the decision to become an exclusive master rep,” says Rod Henricks, director of sales at Bunting.
Additionally, Bunting hired Josh Ewertz as the industry manager for its stamping and metalworking industry group in the summer of 2019.
“At Bunting, our greatest strength is our ability to approach complex applications and develop customized solutions to serve our customers,” Ewertz says. “Our equipment is robust and high quality. We pride ourselves on the fact that we provide long-lasting, permanent solutions. We are supported by territory managers located across North America that are able to go out to a customer’s site and personally assess their application in order to provide them with the best possible equipment recommendations.”
Bunting offers a complete line of permanent magnetic conveyors and conveyor components for the metalworking and metal stamping industries. The company’s conveyors can handle almost all types of scrap, and its engineers can custom design systems and implement several conveyors together to create a material handling solution.
