BTR, a Tampa, Florida-based provider of capital, growth and operational fleet solutions, has appointed Zach Martin as CEO.
With nearly two decades of experience in the environmental and logistics sectors, Martin joined Big Truck Rental in 2016, overseeing all U.S. and Canadian sales operations. Martin transitioned to president in 2020 where he led company operations and oversaw significant growth as well as the partnership with the company’s financial sponsor, Astatine Investment Partners.
He holds a bachelor's of business administration from Marshall University and is on both the Supplier Board of Governors and an Alternate to the Board of Trustees of the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA).
As CEO, Martin aims to expand BTR’s industry presence, enhance customer partnerships and drive innovation in equipment rental and logistics solutions. BTR says his strategic vision is focused on strengthening BTR’s position as a trusted industry leader while maintaining its commitment to adaptability, customer service and operations.
“I am honored to take on the role of CEO at BTR, and I want to sincerely thank Scott and the board for their trust and confidence in me,” Martin says. “Since joining the company, I have seen firsthand the incredible impact our team has on the industry. I look forward to working with our talented employees, partners and customers to drive innovation and build on the strong foundation that has made BTR a leader in environmental and logistics solutions.”
Scott Dols, BTR’s founder and longtime CEO, will transition into his new role as chairman of the board.
“Zach has played a pivotal role in BTR’s success over the past several years, and his leadership, industry expertise and customer-first mindset make him the ideal person to guide the company into the future,” Dols says. “I am excited to see him continue to build on our momentum.”
“We are delighted to announce Zach’s promotion to CEO and excited about him leading the business into its next chapter of growth,” says Ben Catt, partner at Astatine Investment Partners and BTR board member. “We thank Scott for his exceptional leadership as founder and CEO and look forward to his continued guidance in his new role as chairman of the board.”
