The North Carolina-based SMH Group says heavy equipment dealership CLM Equipment has been added to its dealer network in the United States. CLM Equipment will now offer Atlas and Mantsinen material handling equipment, brands distributed by SMH in the U.S., in Louisiana.
SMH describes CLM as a well-established provider of heavy equipment solutions and says the partnership “further strengthens the availability and support of these premium brands across key markets in the southern United States.”
With Louisiana locations in Lake Charles, Lafayette and New Orleans, CLM Equipment “has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality machinery and exceptional customer service,” says SMH Group.
CLM, which was founded in 1966, says adding Atlas and Mantsinen products to its portfolio aligns with its mission to provide customers with the best material handling solutions.
“The partnership with CLM Equipment is an exciting development for us,” says Tim Hyland, a vice president with the SMH Group. “Their dedication to excellence and deep industry knowledge makes them an ideal partner to represent Atlas and Mantsinen. We are confident that CLM’s customers will benefit from access to our advanced equipment and top-tier support.”
Comments Floyd Degueyter, president and CEO of CLM, “CLM is not just a typical business with employees, customers and suppliers. Ours is a partnership; a team – all working together to develop our communities. After 59 years, we are still committed to building strong, lasting relationships.”
The SMH Group says it now has a network of eight dealers in 21 states that offers equipment from Atlas and Mantsinen for applications including recycling, scrap metal, demolition, waste management, logging and port operations.
German-made Atlas material handlers “are known worldwide for their fast cycle times, optimized handling and extended lifespan,” says SMH.
SMH says Finnish-made Mantsinen material handlers are larger than those made by Atlas, with the “gigantic” Mantsinen 300 “tipping the scales at over 900,000 pounds and with a reach over 130 feet.”
By adding Atlas and Mantsinen equipment into its lineup, CLM can expand its ability to serve industries that “require specialized, high-performance material handling solutions,” says SMH.
