ASV, a Yanmar Compact Equipment brand offering all-purpose and all-season compact track loaders and skid steers, has launched a redesigned new-generation RT-65 Posi-Track loader.
Now powered by a Yanmar engine, the compact track loader has been redesigned for productivity, ease-of-use and performance benefits, the company says. The midsize machine is tailored to contractors and owner-operators in the landscaping and construction markets.
“We’re committed to providing increasingly durable and high-performing equipment to our customers, and this new RT-65 is a significant addition,” says Peter Ovrebo, product management director for North America for Yanmar Compact Equipment North America. “Not only is the RT-65 now powered by Yanmar, it is redesigned from top to bottom, making it an entirely new model that promises to allow operators an easier and more productive time on the jobsite in virtually every way.”
ASV’s RT-65 is a radial-lift machine equipped with a 67.1-horsepower Tier 4 Final Yanmar diesel engine and optional 26.7 gpm high flow. With an efficient hydraulic system and direct drive pumps, the loader boasts a 2,000-pound rated operating capacity and 5,714-pound tipping load.
With ASV’s flagship Posi-Track rubber track undercarriage, the 7,385-pound RT-65 can achieve maximum traction and mobility, according to the company. The machine includes a suspension system made up of two independent torsion axles per undercarriage, designed for a smooth ride over varied terrain and ground pressure as low as 4.2 psi for improved performance in steep, wet, muddy and slippery conditions.
Numerous optional technology features are available to improve jobsite performance, ASV says, including self-leveling features and auto 2-speed to provide a seamless transition between low- and high-speed modes and to improve control while grading, in tight spaces or other precise applications.
