ASV compact track loader features 3,535 pound operating capacity

The RT-120 is designed for aggregates, construction and forestry applications.

ASV Holdings Inc., a manufacturer of compact track loaders and skid steers headquartered in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, introduces the large-frame, radial-lift Posi-Track RT-120. The RT-120 is designed to help operators handle excavation, mulching and other applications within the aggregates, construction, landscaping, agriculture, forestry and snow removal industries.

“The RT-120 is quite simply the largest, most powerful and highest performing compact track loader ever built. We designed the machine for the toughest jobs so our customers achieve maximum productivity and profitability,” says Jim DiBiagio, ASV chief operating officer. “The unit is part of our new lineup of compact track loaders revolutionizing the market with high-quality components, convenient serviceability and overall efficiency, power and performance. We use our 25 years of experience designing compact track loaders to deliver our customers a machine with a promise of maximum performance—no compromises.”

The RT-120 features the company’s patented Posi-Track rubber-track suspension. The dual-level suspension includes both suspended wheels and axles, designed to achieve faster speeds over all types of terrain. The RT-120 comes standard with 18-inch-wide tracks, resulting in a ground pressure of 4.4 pounds per square inch (psi). Buyers can also choose optional 20-inch tracks.

Over the past 10 years, ASV transformed its undercarriage from a closed design to an open-rail and drive-sprocket design. The result is increased sprocket and bogie life and an undercarriage that’s easier and faster to clean. All rollers include mechanical face seals that don’t require maintenance for the life of the machine.
The hydraulic system includes 45 gallons per minute (gpm) flow and 4,060 psi. Because the machine includes larger line sizes, hydraulic coolers and direct-drive pumps more flow and pressure transfers directly to the attachment.

The unit features a rated operating capacity of 3,535 pounds and a tipping load of 10,100 pounds. It is 71 inches wide and has a 125-inch lift height. The RT-120 works with all standard attachments, such as backhoes, buckets, snow blades, brush cutters and pallet forks.

ASV also offers a road profiling as well as a heavy-duty forestry option of the RT-120. The RT-120 Forestry includes metal guarding around areas such as lights, the AC condenser and the rear screen. The unit also features superior rollover and falling object protection as well as reinforced windows for impact resistance. The machine uses a hydraulically driven, auto-reversing cooling fan to blow debris out of the engine compartment screens.
