Oxnard, California-based Agromin has started operations at a new location in Dixon, California, which is about 25 miles from Sacramento.
The Dixon site is open to the public and commercial landscapers. Agromin now has 15 sites in total in California, according to a company spokesperson.
According to Agromin, which bills itself as the largest organics recycler in California and a producer of soil products and mulches, its newest location offers numerous selections from its product line.
Available at the Dixon site are Agromin’s OMRI-Listed Compost 100, cover mulch, shredded decorative bark, decorative bark nuggets, amended topsoil and a native soil mix.
“Cities and counties have ramped up their efforts to keep their green waste out of landfills to comply with California’s SB 1383,” Agromin CEO Bill Camarillo says. “Jurisdictions are turning to organic recyclers to transform that green waste into compost and mulch and distribute it within their communities.
“We’re opening production and grinding sites around the state to keep up with the demand. We encourage landscapers to drop off their green waste and then pick up a truckload of compost or mulch.”
Agromin says large-volume commercial discounts are available to some customers and notes its product line is marketed online here.
