Redmond, Washington-based Genie has introduced its new line of boom lifts, the Xtra Capacity (XC) boom lifts, designed to work in more applications that require higher capacities. The first model in this new series in the Genie SX-135XC. Features include:
- built to lift operators to full platform height
- 90 feet of outreach
- 660 pounds unrestricted lift capacity
- the ability to work 19 feet, 8 inches below grade
- a 12-foot, 11-inch by 13-foot, 6-inch compact footprint

Preco Electronics, Boise, Idaho, a heavy-duty collision mitigation technology provider, has released its newest object detection system, PreView Sentry. Features include:
- aims to significantly reduce the incidence and severity of heavy-duty equipment accidents
- a fully adjustable detection zone
- the ability to detect objects from the face of the radar up to 98 feet
- width of the detection zone adjustable to fit most vehicle types
- designed to accurately identify the location and velocity of up to 16 people or objects simultaneously
