KOMPTECH SINGLE-SHAFT SHREDDER

Komptech GmbH has introduced its new single-shaft shredder, the Terminator. The shredder is available as both a mobile and stationary version to handle a wide range of material.

• Applications with drum/opposing comb system variants range from coarse pre-crushing to defined shredding. The continuous cutting gap adjustment allows tailoring of the produced particle size to subsequent treatment stage.

• A hydraulic drive with load-dependent speed control ensures maximum motor performance on mobile machines. An electro-mechanical drive for highest efficiency is offered on stationary models as an additional option.

• The Terminator has four shredding units and is designed with a sturdy, contrary-insensitive pre-shredder.

• The Terminator has variable particle size by adjusting cutting gap, a continuously variable speed regulation, optimum utilization of power with hydraulic drive and a broad range of mechanization and configuration options.

• The Terminator can shred bulk refuse, scrap wood, building material, household, residual and commercial scrap material.

METSO MINERALS LOKOTRACK ST272 MOBILE SCREEN

Metso Minerals has introduced the Lokotrack ST272 mobile screen.

• The ST272 mobile screen is built around a heavy-duty design two-deck, two-bearing screen.

• The screen also features forward and reverse operation and interchangeable decks with nominal screen speed of 850 rpm, a screen stroke of 0.43 inches and working screen angles of 10 to 17 degrees.

• With its screen, the standard ST272 unit is capable of producing three classified factions and accepts feed material of up to 23.6 inches.

• The feed hopper is equipped with wear resistant liners and hydraulically folding hopper sides. Its apron feeder lifts the feed material onto the screen and operates through an electrically-controlled hydraulic drive.

• The ST272 is powered with a TCD 2013 diesel engine, which generates 170 horsepower.

• The ST272’s transport dimensions are: 46 feet, 3 inches long, 9 feet, 10 inches wide and 11 feet, 8 inches high.

• The machine weighs 75,500 pounds.

CAT C-SERIES SKID STEER LOADERS

Caterpillar has introduced four new C-Series skid-steer loaders—the 246C, 256C, 262C and 272C.

• With rated operating capacity of 3,250 pounds, the 272C is the largest capacity skid-steer loader Caterpillar has produced.

• The vertical lift 272C is joined by the smaller 262C, which has an operating capacity of 2,700 pounds.

• The 246C and 256C are radial lift machines with rated operating capacities of 2,150 pounds and 2,350 pounds, respectively.

• The C-Series delivers greater lift and tilt forces when compared to equivalent B-Series models, due to strategically placed hydraulic cylinders.

• The Cat 3044C DIT engine powers the 272C at 90 net horsepower making it the most powerful skid steer Caterpillar has ever offered. Both the 262C and 256C deliver 82 net horsepower, and the 246C generates 73 net horsepower.

• The Caterpillar high-flow, high-pressure hydraulic system, High Flow XPS, is available on all C-Series skid steers.

• The C-Series also features an electro-hydraulic joystick control of the hydrostatic drive system and electronic torque management for smooth operation and high productivity.

JOHN DEERE HH100 HYDRAULIC HAMMER

John Deere & Co. has expanded its line of hydraulic hammers, introducing the first model designed for backhoe loader—the Worksite Pro HH100 hydraulic hammer.

• The HH100 is designed for John Deere’s 310E, 310G, 310J, 310SE, 310SG, 310SJ, 410E, 410G and 410J backhoe loaders.

• The HH100 delivers 1,200 pounds per foot of impact energy and features a compact design that makes it easy for operators to see what they are breaking.

• The hammer’s slim shape allows for entry into narrow spaces and gives operators the ability to work closer to objects.

• The hammer also features a long-stroke piston and low-pressure, nitrogen-charged design.

• The hammer has a "gas assist" cycle to aid the hydraulics for the most firing power.

• Features a long-stroke piston, and nitrogen-charged design, allowing the HH100 to provide consistant power.

• The hammer consists of only two moving parts and with few seals and no special tools these hammers can be field serviced easily.

ROCKLAND PROGRESSIVE LINK BUCKET THUMB

Rockland Manufacturing Co. has introduced the Progressive Link Bucket Thumb to help users achieve precise load handling and placement.

• With 150-degree rotation, the Progressive Link Thumb has the ability to mirror a bucket’s motion, following it through the curl and allowing objects to be gripped and placed.

• The thumb easily moves out of the way of the bucket when not in use, and the thumb cylinder is cushioned in both the extended and retracted position to protect the cylinder from wear and tear.

• Thumb is matched to bucket teeth and can be used with an excavator coupler system or pins.

• Rockland bucket thumbs are manufactured of high-strength alloy steel construction.

• They feature replaceable, lubricated and sealed heat-treated bushings.
