ATLAS COPCO SB 552
Atlas Copco has introduced the largest model in its new generation of SB hydraulic breakers—the SB 552.
• The breaker is designed for several applications, including demolition, road construction, building renovation, foundation work, trenching, landscaping and secondary breaking.
• Weighs 1,149 pounds and is designed for carriers in the 9 to 15 metric ton weight class.
• Delivers a maximum impact rate of 1,080 blows per minute and required oil flow of 17.2 to 30.4 gallons per minute at a pressure range of 1,450 to 2,180 psi.
• The SB 552 has fewer parts than competitive models and it does not use side bolts and separate components from the front head, cylinder and back head.
• Additionally, the breaker’s slimline design allows for better operator visibility and easy positioning in confined spaces.
• It also features a built-in pressure relief valve as standard equipment to protect the breaker from exceeding recommended operating pressure.

GRASAN ROAD-PORTABLE CRUSHING SYSTEMGrasan has introduced a road-portable system for crushing concrete and asphalt rubble, including a primary impact crusher plant, side discharge conveyor, screening plant and closed-circuit return conveyor that can be set up quickly without a crane or special tools other than a front-end loader and block-and-tackle, according to the manufacturer.
• Setup time will vary according to terrain, weather and resulting ground conditions. Normally, the entire system can be set up or torn down in one day or less by an experienced crew.
• According to Grasan, the key to quick set up is the company’s skid-on, skid-off hopper that can be transferred from its flatbed trailer to the crusher chassis in about 30 minutes, bolted down and ready for operation.
• With the hopper in place, the crushing plant is raised and leveled on six different independent hydraulic legs—two front, two middle and two rear—which provide total operational support without any braces, blocks or other support devices.
• The Grasan plant uses a Hazemag APPH hydraulically controlled primary impact crusher. This impactor usually requires no secondary crusher and is faster, more efficient and more versatile than jaw and cone crushers for recycling applications.
• A vibratory feeder under the crusher helps protect the discharge conveyor, and a magnetic separator is located near the top of the side discharge conveyor to pick out ferrous materials.

GENESIS LXP PROCESSORSGenesis Attachments has expanded its Logix Processor line, with the introduction of two additional models of the multi-jaw attachment.
• Genesis’ new LXP 200 and LXP 400 Logix Processors are designed to bring third-member versatility to excavators in the 50,000 and 100,000-pound range, respectively.
• LXP 400 is designed for high reach applications, while the LXP 200 is designed for ultra-high reach.
• The Logix Processor expands user versatility by allowing extremely quick—and safe—changeovers between shear, pulverizer and concrete cracker jaw sets, and does so while also affording a dramatic boost in power over other multi-jaw attachments.
• The shear jaws feature the same piercing tip and blades as Genesis’ popular GXP mobile shear, making it ideal for heavy structural steel, including I-beams.
• Bolt-on wear parts—tooth beds for the pulverizer jaw and teeth for the cracker jaw—are also designed into the new models.
