Hamm mobile compactors
Designed to streamline the process of crushing and compacting recyclable concrete, mixed soils, stones and other materials, the HC 250 C VC and HC 250i C VC are lower-emissions models of Hamm’s mobile rock and rubble compacting and crushing machine. The Hamm brand of Germany-based Wirtgen Group, a John Deere company, says the compactors can cut carbon dioxide emissions by up to 50 percent, depending on the application for which they are used. Their other features include:
- heavy-duty tires to enable the 25-ton machines to work in rocky and uneven terrain
- an extended backrest and air-sprung driver’s seat are available as options for operator comfort
- a “vibration crusher,” or VC, capability designed to crush and compact in a single work step
- a versatile tool holder system on the HC 250 C VC model for quick and simple changes with no need for customized tools
