Hagerstown, Indiana-based Autocar LLC has announced the release of its new DC-64D Dump Truck, the fourth iteration of Autocar’s DC-64 severe-duty Class 8 line. Features of the new model include:
- outfitted with an RS Godwin SCS dump body and features Hardox steel for durability and lighter weight
- multiple Cummins engine options, including the L9, X12 and ISX12N CNG series
- built with dual Sheppard M100 steering gears, 112-inch BBC, and wheel cut up to 50 degrees, allowing the driver easy steering effort and maneuverability
- 7-inch driver information smart display to minimize driver distraction

Caterpillar, Deerfield, Illinois, says its new 980 and 982 medium wheel loaders are up to 10 percent more productive when compared to the previous 980M and 982M powershift models. Features of the wheel loaders include:
- a continuous variable transmission (CVT) that delivers increased fuel efficiencies up to 35 percent compared with the M-series models
- expanded technology platform designed to increase machine performance and improve operating efficiency
- high-efficiency continuously variable parallel path drive system
- new dashboard and high-resolution touchscreen designed to provide intuitive and user-friendly loader control for enhanced performance

San Antonio-based Metso Outotec USA Inc. has introduced the NIS 1620-11 BL100 incline shear to its Metso Metal Recycling product line. Features of the shear include:
- produces up to 1,760 tons of shearing force with a single-rake angle shear blade design
- equipped with higher pre-compression forces for denser scrap production
- excels at processing large bulky scrap, long forms of scrap and all general types of scrap
- capable of fully automatic operation in most applications
