DTG Recycle expands through multiple acquisitions

DTG Recycle, a Mill Creek, Washington-based recycler of commercial, industrial and construction and demolition (C&D) material, has announced its acquisition of “substantially all assets” of Hungry Buzzard. The mid-December 2021 acquisition followed the purchases of Rolloff Recyclers and Maltby Container and Recycling.

Hungry Buzzard, based in Bothwell, Washington, operates a fleet of recycling containers throughout the north end of Puget Sound.

With this acquisition, DTG Recycle says it increases the size of its container and trucking divisions and further strengthens its position as the premier C&D material recycler in the Pacific Northwest.

With a fleet of hundreds of roll-off containers and dumpsters, Hungry Buzzard has provided container hauling services in the Pacific Northwest since 2005. Adding these containers to the DTG Recycle fleet will provide more opportunities to feed recyclables into DTG’s material recovery facilities (MRFs).

Rolloff Recyclers, based in Woodinville, Washington, operates a fleet of recycling containers in King and Snohomish counties.

Maltby Container, based in Maltby, Washington, operates a fleet of recycling containers and a C&D MRF in addition to being a demolition contractor. The transaction includes the sale of real estate assets on which Maltby Container operates.

With this acquisition, DTG Recycle increased its container and truck fleets and added another King County designated C&D processing facility to its portfolio, giving it 10.

DTG says it will retain more than 30 Maltby Container employees.
