Keene, Ontario, Canada-based McCloskey International, a maker of screening and crushing equipment, says Kemach Equipment is its new distributor serving South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho and Eswatini (formerly known as Swaziland).
Kemach, established in 2003, is an authorized distributor of JCB mobile equipment that supplies the regional mining, construction, quarrying and rental equipment sectors.
“Adding McCloskey to our range of leading brands enhances our ability to satisfy the growing needs of our customers, while also creating the opportunity to strengthen our position of being a total solutions provider to the markets we participate in,” comments Les Lothian, CEO of Kemach Equipment.
“Having Kemach Equipment on board further strengthens our distribution network globally,” says Toni Laaksonen, a senior vice president with McCloskey International. “Southern Africa is a market with huge potential, particularly in infrastructure development, which is a key part of South Africa’s economic response to the coronavirus pandemic. These unprecedented times present some unique situations that we anticipate will contribute to growth in the marketplace. Kemach has excellent relationships in both the public and private sector, and working together will benefit not only our companies, but more importantly, their customers.”
Kemach’s Southern African footprint includes its national office based near Johannesburg, South Africa, and branches in 11 locations in that nation. The firm says the addition of McCloskey crushers, screeners and stackers is a natural extension for the company as it continues to expand its products and services in the mining, aggregates, construction and demolition, recycling and infrastructure markets.
