Demolition Resources brings Modular Light Duty Baler to Live Demolition

Feeling like David surrounded by Goliaths, such as material handlers, high-reach excavators and robotic machines, Demolition Resources arrived at the Live Demolition event with the Modular Light Duty Baler (MDLB). It’s a machine designed for the interior demolition industry, but the only place to be able to show how revolutionary it is was outside with the “big boys.” The MDLB churned out bales and attracted a constant stream of curious event participants who could walk up and watch or participate at any time during the demonstration.

Some contractors mentioned that they had been thinking about the baler since its debut in Austin last year and were anxious to learn of developments and updates. Many other demolition contractors were receptive to the explanation of all the benefits that the machine produces in the environment that it is designed for. DRI President Mick Goodhind offered a description of the not-so-obvious advantages, and it became clear that the Modular Light Duty Baler has the ability to reduce the labor costs of transporting light metals from an interior demolition project by 75 percent, providing a major savings on dumpsters.

Those who stopped by the booth were complimentary about the equipment and indicated they were interested in pursuing ways they could use it on different types of jobs. As with all new ideas and developments, seeing is believing, and the 2019 NDA convention provided opportunity to demonstrate the MLDB to the best in the industry. DRI will be updating its line in 2019.
