United Kingdom-based KHL Group, the publisher of nine construction-related magazines, says entry forms for the World Demolition Awards 2021 are now available on its World Demolition Summit (WDS) website. The awards will be distributed at an event to take place in Chicago Oct. 20-21.
The awards, which have been presented since 2009, have been designed to “recognize innovation and best practice in demolition and recycling, courtesy of an international judging panel with a combined total of more than 300 years’ experience,” states KHL.
Winners in 2020 included Minnesota-based Veit & Co., Nebraska-based Kiewit Infrastructure West, Canada-based Budget Demolition, plus two firms based in Australia and another in Argentina.
In addition to individual awards, an overall “Best of the Best” World Demolition Award winner will be chosen by the judges, as was the case with South African contractor Jet Demolition in 2020. The individual, company and project categories in 2021 are: civil demolition, collaboration in demolition, contract of the year - under $1 million, contract of the year $1 million and above, explosive demolition, industrial demolition, innovation in plant and equipment, innovation in tools and attachments, recycling and environmental, safety and training, and urban demolition.
More information on entering the awards event, which has an entry deadline of June 30, can be found on this web page.
